Hamayumisai Festival

Baaasically… men, clad in loincloths, doggy pile on top of each other and scramble for a pieces of a big straw ball. There is a lot of confusing shoving and shouting and once someone gets a bit of straw they clamber up onto the shoulders of their companions and hoot and holler. All the while people are throwing pails of water on them. Other men are pushing from the outside of the doggy-piled fellows, and manage to move this tangle mess of men all the way from the shrine into the ocean.
