Here is a picture of one of the temples Tyler visited before Samantha arrived. Here is an excellent example of two pilgrims. It is a custom here for people to do a pilgrimage from each of the 88 temples. It will take them around 40-60 days and it covers the entire island, over 600 miles. They were these traditional hats. Also, in the bottom right hand corner is one of the Japanese dogs. These are really the only dogs that people have, they look like Eskimo dogs with the curly tails, but are smaller.
