If there is one thing I have learned in my world travels, it is that no matter where you are… there will always, always, always be a KFC. Africa, Asia, Europe. You name it. They have a KFC.
*Also…. there are not many Japanese traditions for Christmas. But one of them includes getting a KFC Chicken Bucket for a Christmas Eve dinner. Apparently there are huge wait times and lines out the door of people trying to snag some of the Colonel’s special recipe. From spokesperson Shiro Yoshizawa, “Fried chicken was very unpopular in Japan when our company first came more than 30 years ago,” he says. “So a decision was made to market it [the chicken] as a special treat, especially at Christmas. Our employees even wore Santa Claus costumes to help customers make the connection.”
