Love Poem

I came home yesterday to the most amazing Valentines Day gift. Samantha wrote a poem for me. She truly is the most wonderful and best wife one could ask for. I love her so much.

Please read these words,
they’re sincere,
They are about someone who I love so dear.

This is straight from the heart,
So lets begin at the start, we were in a studio studying fine art.

He was dazzling, asked me if I liked traveling, was then my heart strings he was unraveling.

Before I knew it, I was swept up in ecstasy,
Falling in love with him in Washington DC.

In San Francisco I left my heart in his hands,
was then I knew forever we’d wander foreign lands.

And now that he’s mine,
We fly so high on cloud nine,
Only coming down, to see a brand new town

Everything that I’ve done has been for my only one.
If not for him, in the Mediterranean never would’ve taken a swim.

Would have never danced in Barcelona, never seen the sights in Roma.

Florence would have never tasted so sweet,
Never would have wandered the Ephesian streets.

Never would have scootered on Santorini,
Or seen Monaco’s grand prix,

And thats just the beginning,
Four years later my heart’s still spinning.

Without him there’d be no Asia,
Never would have fed scary monkeys in Malaysia.

Never would have journeyed Japan,
Nor seen old temples in Taiwan.

Never would have ridden a Thai elephant,
Or slinged it up with Sing’s elegant.

Without you I wouldn’t have Hong Kong,
Or ever been stranded in Pudong.

All these things are your gift to me,
Things I wouldn’t trade for anything.

Some say soul mates don’t exist,
Though I wanna resist, maybe that’s the gist.

But I know that forever you’ll always make me proud,
And that speaks oh so loud.

We are a good team,
And we’re making this life seem like a crazy dream

I wanna be with you forever,
I will follow you wherever.
Won’t ever leave you,
You don’t know how bad I need you.

Got a long way to go, but for him I wanna be better,
so please accept my humble love letter.
