My job at the winery recently came to an end.  I was a harvest intern for the last couple of months at a winery 40 minutes south of Lake Oswego.  Dundee city is known in Oregon to have some of the best wineries and vineyards. I was able to learn a lot about the winemaking process (which indeed has its smashing of the grapes moments). The best part about the job was meeting people from all over and sharing stories. Some days we worked up to 16 hours which made those 12 hour shifts something to look forward to.  I am glad to have had this experience, and now know I could use these skills in other places like Australian wineries or maybe even a local Portland brewery…. who knows?
