"She Flies With Her Own Wings" - Oregon State Motto

Well, we have finally made it to our new home and have learned an interesting thing or six about it.

Taken from http://jackieinpdx.com/2009/04/11/12-interesting-facts-about-oregon/…

1. In 1905, the largest cabin in the world was built in Oregon in honor of the Lewis and Clark expedition. Unfortunately, it was surpassed by larger cabin built in Heber, Utah… but nonetheless, Oregon is home to a pretty big cabin by world standards.

2. Oregon was the first state to ban the use of non-returnable bottles and cans.

3. Oregon is home to the deepest lake in the US —- Crater Lake.

4. Oregon has the largest cheese factory in the world.

5. Oregon has the world’s smallest park, measuring only 2 feet wide. It was created in 1948 for the leprechaun community and to host snail racing.

and lastly 6. Oregon resident’s own 1/4 of all the llamas in America.

Pretty great, right?
