The Nabeshima Clan symbol. One of the most prominent samurai clans of Kyushu, especially the Saga area.  This clan was in charge of the whole Western side (which includes Nagasaki) during the Edo period.

It is also the name of Tyler’s Jr. High and Elementary schools.
